Perplexity Hybrid Compute

Perplexity Hybrid Compute is a feature of Perplexity Computer, the Perplexity Mac app. It splits AI tasks between the cloud and your local machine: research and reasoning run in the cloud using Perplexity's strongest AI, while any steps involving your private files are handled by a local AI directly on your Mac, so those files are never uploaded. Hybrid Compute requires Apple silicon with at least 24GB of RAM and is available to Pro, Max, and Enterprise users.
