Microservices

Microservices is a software architecture where a large application is built as a collection of small, independent services that communicate with each other, typically over a network.

How it works

Each microservice focuses on a single business capability and can be developed, deployed, and scaled independently. This approach makes applications more flexible, resilient, and easier to update compared to traditional monolithic software.

Examples

  • 1.An e-commerce site where separate services handle user accounts, product catalogs, and payment processing.
  • 2.A streaming platform where one service recommends content, another manages user playlists, and a third handles video encoding.
